I have no idea what the media's fascination is with pretending that rich people getting much richer is like this super inspirational story.
She's basically like every other silicon valley billionaire in upbringing save the parent with an engineering/math phd, she came from well off parents who had a load of autonomy and assets, and her great grandfather owned a regional chain of sporting goods stores lol.
And tbh, the engineering/math phd is going to die out over time because the first wave of billionaires had to understand how computers and eventually the internet work, the next wave of silicon valley billionaires are all just going to have marketing/managerial/owner parents.
