Some more cold weather heat pump data, Wednesday 10th of February, average outside temperature -0.2C, average COP 3.28, here's a graph of electric, heat, flow and return temperatures:
Here's the livingroom temp for the 10th of Feb: it was on average 20C from 1pm through to 10:30pm, I was out in the morning enjoying the sun, it was a very sunny day and we have good south facing windows so a good amount of solar gain to help on an otherwise freezing day :)
It was an expensive day on Octopus Agile, the heat pump averaged a unit cost of 19p/kWh inc VAT for the electric costing £3.61, the unit rate for heat was therefore: 5.8p/kWh, the average for Feb so far is 4.3 p/kWh
Thursday the 11th had less solar gain, livingroom temp was 19.5C from 2pm to 10pm, 19.2C from 8am to 10pm, a little bit more space heat input than the 10th due to no DHW heat up, showing that the additional solar gains contributed a good 0.5-1.0C of heat
and a pic from a daily exercise bike ride on the morning of the 10th to hopefully take away from the dull graphs a bit :)
