For how long will today’s artists have their songs played? The recordings made today can conceivably be on streaming platforms for the remainder of humanity, barring significant technological devolution. Are people 500 years from today going to listen to Mac?
Obviously few institutions exist today from 500 years ago. Will that be the case with our institutions, or will they remain thanks to the internet?
One could contend that humanity will change very little comparatively speaking, as we have in the last thousand years. Sure we’ll advance, but will there be a quantum leap to match the one we’ve taken since middle ages?
