Researching the new episode of my show, I found this incredible 2016 clip of @SecretaryPete talking about rail electrification in South Bend. Both an amazing example of his "high schooler bullshitting his way through an essay" energy and encouraging about his transpo savvy?

other things I learned: Pete installed *really* good bike lanes in South Bend (separated from traffic by tree medians) and implemented pedestrian safety measures like eliminating slip lanes downtown.

Anyway, increasingly convinced Pete is gonna do a good job at DOT, especially paired with Polly Trottenberg. He seems to really get a lot of this stuff!
