I LOVE this. It's not dangerous for the 'relatively few' cyclists that use the road. Now. Why do we think relatively few cyclists use the big, direct, quickest and easiest route to and from town? Anyone?
This one is interesting. It believes there should be consultation. Even the petition says there will be a consultation (they then say that it will be ignored, but this person seems to have ignored all of the content).
I'm a cyclist too.....
Now, given the pavement side lane was always used for parking, and so it was always just one lane each way in practice, exactly how is the traffic moving along the road going to be any more stop / start than it currently is?
For some responses they just leave you hanging on wanting more details! Not just 'badly', but 'REALLY badly detrimental' to this person's life (now, in some way, it may be, but I'm just left hanging!).
Turns out http://Change.org have community guidelines, and this petition easily breaches a few....
