A thread of every Speedster in DC Universe history. There will probably be some Multiverse Speedsters that I miss because there are SO many of them, but I will try my best.
Jay Garrick - The Flash

The First speedster to ever debut in DC Comics and the first in a long legacy of heroes known as The Flash. Jay is the heart and soul of the Flash Family. He's also a core member of the JSA and the husband of Joan Garrick. Scientist, Mentor, Hero, Flash.
Johnny Chambers - Johnny Quick

A heroic scientist who discovered a formula which allowed him to tap into the Speedforce while giving him extra abilities. Johnny is the Ex-Husband of Liberty Belle, the Father of Jesse Quick, a member of the All-Star Squadron, and a hero.
Max "Crandall" - Max Mercury

A hero from the past was given his power by a dying Shaman. He used these abilities to bring peace and justice across time using multiple aliases while trying to join with the Speedforce. Guardian of Impulse, Zen Master of Speed, and father of Helen.
Joanie Swift

Joanie worked as a secretary until 1 day, when she accidentally spoke Johnny Quick’s speed formula, she eagerly began exploring her powers, putting together together a costume based on the more famous speedster and introducing herself to him as his new partner.
Edward Clariss - The Rival

Bitter at being rejected by the scientific community, Edward Clariss took a temporary speed formula and hired criminals to form a super-speed gang and draw out Jay Garrick. Calling himself the Rival, he donned a darker version of the Flash’s costume.
Barry Allen - The Flash

As a CSI he was struck by lightning one night and given Superspeed. He uses these incredible gifts to thwart evil for years as the 2nd Flash. Mentor of Wally and Wallace West, husband of Iris West, grandfather of Bart, and a member of the Justice League.
Wally West - The Flash

The nephew of Barry & Iris, Wally was the sidekick of Barry as Kid Flash until the Death of Barry. Wally took up the mantle and became the 3rd Flash. He was the mentor of Bart Allen, husband of Linda Park, father of Jai & Irey, and a Justice League Member.
Doralla Kon

A scientist from the world of Alkomar, tested a spaceship and found herself on Earth. Everything seemed frozen until she met Barry, who showed her how to slow herself down to match Earth’s speed. Barry helped her get home and the exploration of Earth was cut short.
Eobard Thawne - The Reverse Flash

A scientist from the future who was obssesed with Barry Allen replicated the energy that gave Barry his speed and became a speedster. Eobard had a mental break when he discovered his destiny as the Reverse Flash and became Barrys greatest enemy.
Bart Allen - Impulse

Bart inherited superspeed from his grandfather, Barry Allen, but his metabolism resulted in an accelerated growth rate, scientists placed him in a virtual reality. Iris took him to the past where he met Wally and became Impulse. Max became his guardian.
Black Flash

The Manifestation of Death that comes for Speedsters when they die. It also acts as a defense mechanism for the Speedforce itself. It was seen at the deaths of both Barry Allen and Johnny Quick.
John Fox

A tachyon physicist was sent back in time to recruit the Flashes who had defeated Manfred Mota before. He failed, but his unstable return through time imbued him with superspeed. He donned several costumes from the Flash Museum and the name of Flash, and defeated Mota.
Walter West - Dark Flash

He lived mostly the same life as Wally, only in his timeline he wasn’t able to save Linda Park from her death at the hands of Kobra. Driven mad, he was eventually brought back by an encounter with the main timeline’s Wally and Linda.
Boleslaw Uminski, Gregor Gregorovich, and Christina - The Blue Trinity

Russian scientists Krulik and Pyotr attempted to duplicate superspeed using steroids, electrode implants, and gene splicing. 3 children were put through the program and became agents of the Soviet military.
Anatole, Bebek, Cassiopeia - The Red Trinity/Kapitalist Kouriers

The succesors to the Blue Trinity after they went rogue, the Red Trinity were inspired to leave the Soviet Union after meeting Wally West, they then became the Kapitalist Kouriers to show their appreciation.
Christina Alexandrova

Starting out as a member of the Blue Trinity. After it's dispansion she tried to become a hero, but Wally was unwilling to take her on. She then worked for multiple supervillains, but is best known as the high priestess of Savitar’s speed force cult.
Savitar

A Cold War pilot, the man who would become Savitar was testing a supersonic fighter plane. As he reached top speed, his plane was struck by lightning. He crashed and became obsessed with speed, Savitar’s obsession gained followers, and he became the leader of a cult.
Thaddeus Thawne - Inertia

Earthgov President Thawne spliced a sample of Bart’s DNA with his DNA and grew a clone from the result. All of his physical and mental development was carefully calculated, until he reached adolescence and traveled into the past to replace Bart Allen.
Jesse Chambers - Jesse Quick

Daughter of Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle she became a hero using her fathers speed formula. She helped train Impulse, became a member of the JSA, married Rick Tyler, and had a son. She even took up the Flash and Liberty Belle mantles for a while.
Dr. Jerry McGee - Speed Demon

He became obsessed with his research into hyper physiology, driving away his colleagues and finally his wife. He experimented on himself through steroids and electrode implants, & imbued himself with speed rivaling Flash’s then-top speed of 700 mph.
Hunter Zolomon - Zoom

After a life of tragedy, Grodd broke his back, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. Hotwiring the Cosmic Treadmill to go back in time, he gained superspeed. Losing sense of reality, he became Zoom and vowed to make The Flash face tragedy.
Eliza Harmon - Trajectory

Eliza Harmon grew up in Manchester, Alabama, where she became a fan of local hero Impulse. The summer she turned 18, Lex Luthor announced the Everyman Project: a synthetic metagene treatment that could give anyone superpowers. She signed up immediately.
Patty Spivot - Ms. Flash

While she never actually gained super-speed she came close. The lab assistant for Barry Allen was in front of a shelf of chemicals when it was struck by lightning. In the split-second it took her boss to move her, he imagined a scenario in which she did.
Sela Allen

Cobalt Blue crippled her & made her as slow to the world as the world would be to a Flash. Her father took her into the SpeedForce, hoping it would help. Sela projected a humanoid appearance from within the Speedforce to help others by lending them speed.
The Flash - Mr. Allen

Father of Sela Allen and hero of the future this Allen descendant gave his life to stop Cobalt Blue and saved his daughters life.
Blaine Allen - The Flash

He and his son lived on the world of Petrus until Cobalt Blue infected Jace with a deadly virus. Blaine then froze Petrus to stop the virus. Taking Jace into the SpeedForce, in hopes that it would help, it absorbed Blaine & gave speed to Jace.
Jace Allen - The Flash

In memory of his father, Jace took up the mantle of the Flash and fought Cobalt Blue as one of his major foes for years until Jesse Quick recruited him into an all-out battle against the Cobalt Blue legacy
Dawn and Don Allen - The Tornado Twins

Twins born in the 30th Century to Iris West Allen, they inherited partial superspeed from their father, Barry Allen. They grew up in an era of xenophobia, so for a long time they had to operate in secret, appearing only as tornadoes.
Jenni Ognats - XS

Jenni inherits her speed from her mother, Dawn. Jenni grew up with no speed. Dominators kidnapped her and her father in an effort to tap her abilities. They tortured her father which activated Jenni’s latent powers. She joined the Legion of Super-Heroes.
Iris West

Iris West was sent into the Speedforce where she gained powers. When the Reverse Flash of the New 52 began killing off Speedsters, Barry gave Iris a nice super suit which hid her energy signature from him. She did eventually lose the speed.
Daniel West - Reverse Flash

Brother of Iris and Father of Wallace. Suffering from abuse as a child he crippled his father and ran away from home. He was involved in an accident which gave him a Speedforce charged Metal suit. He vowed to go back in time and change everything.
Barry Allen (Alt Timeline) - Future Flash

After a series of tragedies Barry Allen sought training from the greatest Martial Artist in all of DC, Lady Shiva, as well as Batman and Deathstroke. He traveled back in time to violently stop certain events.
Wallace West (Alt Timeline) - The Flash

After the Future Flash killed a version of Barry in front of him, Wallace was struck by excess lightning and vowed to stop him. He spent decades training to defeat Future Flash and took him down.
Jai and Irey West

When they were first born, Jai and his sister exhibited no signs of speed. However, after turning three months old, their metabolisms sped up and they began to age rapidly. Wally ran them into the Speedforce and they stopped aging and became heroes.
Eobard Thawne (Alt Timeline) - Zoom

A despot ruler of the Crystal Cities from a far flung future, after being overthrown by a rebellion of citizens using Flash a symbol of Freedom. Thawne vowed to destroy the Flash in revenge. He killed Barry Allens mother and framed his father.
Wallace West - Kid Flash

Nephew of Iris, Cousin of Wally, and Son of Daniel. After the disappearance of his mom he went to live with his aunt. He gained the abilities of an alternate version of himself and after training with Barry and Meena defeated Godspeed & became Kid Flash.
Danica Williams - Flash Beyond

The Flash of Batman Beyonds timeline, she grew up with shadows of the former flashs guiding her and helping her get used to her powers. She later joined the Justice League Unlimited and helped fend off the return of the Justice Lords.
Danica Williams - Lord Flash

A Darker version of Danica from an alternate timeline where Lord Superman killed President Luthor and turned the Earth into a Military State.
Jay Garrick (New Earth 2) - The Flash

After encountering the Greek God Mercury he was given the gods power and used it to defend his Earth against the monstrous forces of Apocalypse alongside the new wonders. A brave and powerful hero.
Gorilla Grodd (Alternate Timeline)

Grodd had captured the Reverse-Flash and consumed his brain. Inheriting Daniel's knowledge of time travel, he could. He was fracturing the speedforce while doing this and in a climactic battle with Flash to stop him, he was killed.
Bar Torr - Kid Flash

A revolutionary from the future was sent back in time with no knowledge of who he is or what he did. He joined Tim Drakes Teen Titans and became a hero. He used the alias Bart Allen and thought he was related to Barry & chose the name Kid Flash to honor him.
August Heart - Godspeed

A good friend of Barry Allen gained powers during the Speedforce Storm & became his partner. He had a psychotic break after killing the man he believed murdered his brother & went on a rampage. He eventually redeemed himself by helping to stop Blackhole.
Meena Dhawan - FastTrack/ Negative Flash

A STAR Labs scientist gained powers during the SpeedForce storm and helped Barry train the new speedsters. During a attack she was taken and mind controlled by Blackhole. She gained Negative SpeedForce powers and helped stop them.
Avery Ho - The Flash of China

A foster kid in Central City who gained speed during the SpeedForce storm. She was originally trained by Meena and Barry, but left after Godspeed. She joined the Justice League of China and eventually came back and fully joined the Flash Family.
Jesse Quick - The Flash

A hero from Earth 11, where she protects the Earth together with her friends from the Justice Guild. She uses the Speed Formula and its Reverse Formula to carry out her heroic deeds.
Jess Chambers - Kid Quick/The Flash

The Nibling of Earth 11 Jesse, they use they same formula to work alongside their friends in Teen Justice and in one Timeline they become The Flash and join a new formation of the Justice League where they become close friends with Andy Curry.
Lia Nelson - The Flash

Lia Nelson is a supermodel and talented actress on Earth 9 and also a being made of light and speed. She mastered her powers and became the Flash of her Earth, she joined the Secret Six of her world and defended the planet.
Mary Maxwell - The Flash

A sick college girl whose father is a scientist and longed to be a superhero like the comics she reads. One day her dying father injects Mary with the DNA from a hummingbird and grants her the ability to travel at superspeed and she calls herself Flash.
The Hyper Guard

Earthgov President Thawnes personal army of Speedster Soldiers. Unfortunately, long-term effects of the ray included complete physical and mental breakdown. Most Hyperguards went insane, but enough remained to do Thawne’s bidding.
Speed Metal

Scientists in Central City developed police robots capable of moving at super speed. They are fully deputized to apprehend and execute their targets. Their prime directive is “to serve and protect the people of the 27th century.”
Barry Allen - Hot Pursuit

Hot Pursuit is a cop from another universe. He rides a SpeedForce powered Cosmic Motorcycle. The motorcycle can transform into a bleeding edge nightstick that steals speed, stores information, and project holograms.
Patty Spivot - Hot Pursuit

Patty stole the former Hot Pursuit's gear from CCPD and became the new Hot Pursuit. Her bike detects a timestorm and intiates an emergency chronal-evac, transporting her to the year 3011 where she goes on adventure with Bart.
Irey West - Kid Flash

The daughter of the Earth 22 Wally West, Irey was always willing to take up her fathers mantle, but he wanted her brother to take that role. During Kingdom Come she took place in the great battle and afterwards volunteered at hospitals and helped humanity.
In the 98th century, after all humans had become telepathic, a menacing creature invaded. A history buff named Kryad, hoping that the legends of the 20th century were true, traveled into the past. He settled on stealing the Flash’s speed, though the process would cost his life.
Wally West - The Flash

He received speed & served as a hero for many years calling himself Flash. After Superman retired, he stopped stopping. He began running instantly from crime to crime, disaster to disaster, until he became a gale force. Father of Barry and Irey West.
Barry West

Son of Wally West of Earth 22, Barry had no interest in becoming a hero like his father and sister. Wally always hoped he'd reconsider.
Carrie Allen - The Flash

She had only recently joined the Justice League in 1986 when she and other Leaguers tried to apprehend an increasingly unstable Batman.
Impulse (853rd Century)

Even his own teammates know little of Impulse’s origins, and he doesn’t seem to care himself. It is believed that Impulse is “the personification of random thoughts of speedsters that traveled through the Speed Force”
Jay West - The Flash

While not as fast as his predecessors, he nevertheless trained for years to succeed them. In 2008 he donned one of his uncle Barry’s old costumes and took up the mantle of the Flash.
Linda Park - Lightspeed

An amalgamation of August Heart and Linda Park results in Lightspeed, the hero of Earth 32, member of the Justice Titans and new ally of the Earth 0 Wally West.

Timmy Joe Terrapin - Fastback

A turtle named Timmy Joe Terrapin. Timmy meant well, but was always too slow to hold down a job. Trying to catch a bus somewhere in the state of Kornsas, he was hit by a meteorite and gained super-speed, becoming Fastback, the Reptilian Rocket!
Merton McSnurtle - The Terrific Whatzit

Fastbacks uncle McSnurtle was the Weird War II era hero, the Terrific Whatzit. He had super speed, super strength, & could fly. He earned his name from the fact that he removed his shell when in costume, so no one could tell what he was.
The Crash

The Crash, again, a turtle comes from a similar “funny animals” world which mirrors the pre-Crisis Earth 1 (usually referred to as Earth C-), and was a member of the JLA—the Just’a Lotta Animals. Interestingly, the JLA are well-known comic book characters on Earth C.
Fastbak

Fastbak is a young member of the race called the New Gods. On New Genesis he invented aeropads, devices in his boots that enable him to run and fly at incredible speeds. Among the New Gods, Fastbak’s speed is second only to Lightray, and he once outraced the Black Racer.
Lightray

A New God who loyally serves New Genesis and High Father. He is a member of the Council of Eight and is considered one of the most powerful New Gods of New Genesis as he can move at extraordinary speeds, even outracing Omega Beams for hours.
Johnny Quick

The Villainous Counterpart of the Flash on Earth 3 served as a terror, menace, and supervillain for years. He later joined the Crime Syndicate and together they ruled their earth for decades.
Slipstream

Another villainous Speedster from Earth 3 was mistaken as a hero and mistakenly brought to the main Earth to substitute as The Flash. He played along briefly, then began fighting to destroy the Flash until he was forced back to his own universe.
Barry Allen - The Flash

A much older and more expierenced Barry serves as a Flash of Earth 12. While he has a rocky relationship with Bruce Wayne, he doesn't hesitate to answer the call and rush to Gotham to help avert disaster.
Xane Swift - Slipstream

Slipstream was an Order of the Scythe member who uses a power suit to emulate the speedforce. He was one of Stephanie Brown's first rogues as Batgirl.
The Splitt

Twin Speedsters who were experimented on as children which fused them into one being. They can split apart into themselves with their speedster powers, but not for long.
ZüM

A White Martian and one of eight-such individuals who comprise the super-villain team known as the Hyperclan. Disguised as alleged "heroes" from another world, the Hyperclan sought to turn public opinion against Earth's super-hero populace, in particular, the JLA.
Krakkl

Krakkl is a member of the Kwyzz, a race of radio frequency beings. An inhabitant from Wally West's childhood with speeds reaching quintillions of times faster than light, they had to compete for the surviving of their Worlds.
Ali Rayner-West - Green Lightning

A descendant of both West and Rayner families, she inherited superspeed from her mother and a Green Lantern ring from her father. Torn between 2 legacies, she developed a mental block that stops her from using speed and her ring on the same day.
Guy Gilbert - Lightning

He was given a suit which grants him superhuman running speed, agility, senses, and reaction time; unfortunately, every time he uses it, it shortens his life.
Más Y Menos

Mas y Menos is a team of brothers who gain superspeed by maintaining contact with one another. They have been members of the Teen Titans.
Blaze Allen - Speed Demon

A mystic who the Night Spectre discovered. When Blaze refused to allow Night Spectre to take his soul it drained his wife of her life force instead. He was approached by Merlin, who helped Blaze bond with the demon Etrigan becoming the 2nd Speed Demon
Wally West - Kid Demon

The nephew of Blaze Allen, who contacted Merlin after accidentally discovering his uncle's secret identity. Wanting to help out, he had Merlin bond him with a demon. Becoming the third Speed Demon, or the Kid Demon, Wally West fought alongside his uncle
Pietro Allen - Mercury

A hero from the amalgam universe who is a member of many hero teams.
Tanaka Rei - The Flash

Tanaka Rei is a Japanese man who obtained super-human speed and became a superhero called the Flash, whom is named after and inspired by Tanaka's idolized comic book hero Barry Allen. He joined the Justice Alliance of America. He's married and has 2 kids.
Hermes

He is a member of the Olympians, a extra-dimensional race once worshipped as a deity by the people of Ancient Greece. He is the patron of travelers and thieves, and also conducts the souls of the dead to Hades to be judged.
Mercury

Last of the Roman Gods, kept prisoner by an unknown being for 5 years which he claims is a greater danger than Apokolips. He escaped back to Earth, but was fatally wounded in the process. Before he died, he passed on his speed to Jay Garrick, telling him about the evil.
Willie Walker - The Black Racer

From the time of the immemorial, it has been the task of The Black Racer to collect the souls of fallen gods from the battlefield. Throughout that time, the identity of the Black Racer has changed.
Samuel Song - Jog

Born in the Cameroon to the Black Racer & a human mother. When he was 3 months old, his father left. As a child Samuel and his family fled Cameroon and found their way to France as refugees. Samuel eventually joined the Revolutionaries taking the name Jog.
Killspeed

A young woman in Central City was struggling to afford treatment for her cancer, until she got powers from the Speed Force storm. Using her new superspeed to steal sufficient money to cover her medical expenses, she was unknowingly worsening her condition.
Wallace West - Speed Zone

Wallace West, also known as Speed Zone, is a super-villain who works with Amaxon Thunder's crew on the crime-ridden world of Earth 3. He is the evil counterpart of Kid Flash of Earth 0.
Jay Garrick - The Flash

52 revealed that a new multiverse came into existence after Infinite Crisis, including a new universe that includes a Flash wearing a costume similar to Jay Garrick’s, but with darker colors.

In some world of the 52 Multiverse, Linda Park became the Flash. This Flash joined Monarch’s army, and was part of a squadron sent to kill the villain Tracer on Earth-8.
Unnamed Freedom Fighter Speedster

As on the pre-Crisis Earth-X the Freedom Fighters continue to fight against tyranny.
Barry Allen

Medical experiments carried out by one Dr. Saul Erdel, including the captive Barry Allen, once an inquisitor chemist, granted super-speed by a lightning strike, and imprisoned for study. Erdel tried repeatedly to duplicate his powers, with varying degrees of success.
Barry Allen - The Flash

In the world of the Dark Knight Returns, Barry Allen has been locked in a machine powering the Eastern Seaboard for decades, after being freed by Batman he joins his army with a new Costume designed by Carrie Kelley.
Wally West - The Flash

In a world where Nightwing took away nearly every superpower on Earth and instigated an order of control and monitoring Superhumans Wally West fought back against his old Friend with The Titans.
Jesse Chambers - Liberty Belle

In an alternate history where the JSA never retired after the McCarthy hearings they went international and brought Peace and Justice to the entire world and beyond. Jesse joined the team like her mother and father before her.
Unknown Flash

On a world where Barbara Gordon became Gotham’s protector, and Kara Zor-el was the last survivor of Krypton, Wonder Woman leads the world’s premier super-team, the Justice Society. At somepoint an armored Flash joined this team.
Jesse Chambers - Flash

Within a week after a cosmic storm passed over the Earth, every man on earth died. In the chaos that followed, the Justice League and United Nations stepped forward to keep the human race alive. Some heroes took on new names, like Jesse becoming the Flash.
Bryan Mallory - The Flash

He received the legacy of The Flash as a gift from Martian Manhunter. The Mallory family were the receivers of the book and the gift, and it was their duty to pass it down the line to the eldest born son.
Trace Wyndham - Impulse

Spending years in a pod which was eventually picked up by Dargonians. He was discovered by the speedster Kinnock. He brought Trace in to his resistance movement and taught the boy that he's genetically in-tune with the Speed Force and he became Impulse.
David Edwards

Son of a hidden Wally West and Bonnie Blackmon, he developed his fathers superspeed. He was attacked by some of his fathers enemies before being rescued by his father who he now finally sees as the Flash.
Wally West - The Flash

Wally and a young woman named Bonnie using evidence they uncovered put a criminal named Diogenes in prison for life. Wally and Bonnie fell in love and had a son. He retired from being the Flash until Diogenes returned and kidnapped his son.
Speed Freak

Speed Freak is a Speed Force-empowered hero on Earth 47, and a member of the Love Syndicate.
Earth 17 Speedster

A parody of the 1980s “grim ’n’ gritty” style. In this world all superheroes were created by the US government, beginning with Overman. The rest were modified clones, including a Justice League-like group attached to the US military including this speedster.
Harry Christos - Captain Speed

In another dimension there was a team variously called the Justifiers or the Assemblers. “We fought all the bad guys they could throw at us, one at a time. We always won. We had fun. We spent a lot of time posing for the press.”
Lady Flash

On Earth-33, a world ruled by magicians, those with the greatest power are wizards: Bat Mage, the Shade, Black Bird, Kal-El of the Kryptonian magics. Lady Flash is keeper of the speed force, able to summon lightning and manipulate kinetic energy.
Barry Allen - The Flash

In an era of paranoia, the masked hero is considered by some to be no better than the criminals he fights. After the government tries to capture him, he questions what he fights for, and he retires. until a threat emerges that requires every hero.
Jay Garrick - The Flash

He was a member of the Justice Society of America who were forced into early retirement after the Government presented them with the ultimatum of Revealing their Identities and joining the Military or Being Arrested.
Wally West - Kid Flash

The Nephew of Barry Allen and Iris West who joined a team of young heroes after the defeat of the Centre.
Barry Allen and Wally West - Flash and Kid Flash

Wally became a teen heartthrob and media sensation, even starring in his own television series. But after Barry Allen’s death battling Captain Cold, Wally began losing his powers, eventually losing the use of his legs altogether.
