Since law enforcement is catching up with the perp-a-traitors of the insurrection, I am seeing a bunch of crowd-funding popups with "blah isn't a traitor, they're a family man who served their country and was decorated with "popular medal"

You shouldn't hate someone because they belong to a group, but that doesn't mean you have to like them.

To insurrectionist veterans:

Being a veteran is an honor and a privilege

Being a veteran means you understand the rule of law.
As a veteran, you can go to rallies
3/ 11
You can campaign for and against political entities. You can have a ridiculous amount of flags/stickers on your vehicle to show that support.

That's 1A.

You fought to protect it, and you have every right to enjoy it.

However...
4/11
Being a veteran does NOT give you a free pass to commit crimes.

If you were in DC on 06JAN2021 at a rally to support the guy who lost, odds are I probably think you're an asshole.

If you were part of the insurrection that stormed the Capitol Building,
5/11
...then I definitely consider you a terrorist.

I am not alone either.

The government you took an oath to defend against enemies, both foreign and domestic, put you on the "domestic enemies" list...
6/11
You aren't on that list because your being cancelled, or censored.

You aren't being silenced

Your aren't being persecuted

You're being prosecuted

Prosecuted for the crimes you committed.
Stop crying "bUt iM a VeTErAn! i SeRveD My CoUnTrY"

Yes, You did. Thank you
7/11
for your service.

You then became a terrorist. The former doesn't excuse the latter.

IMO it makes it worse.

Ashli Babbit was a Veteran who served her country...
she was also shot, as a terrorist, while committing a terrorist act.

Now the law is coming for the rest.

To my civilian friends and followers:

Most likely, you don't know what we went through.
You probably can't understand a lot of what we, as veterans face.

That doesn't mean that you should tolerate the intolerable simply because we are vets.

IMO, civilians are often
9/11 uncomfortable when dealing with veterans.

I can only definitively speak for myself, but I am sure other veterans will agree-

It was my pleasure to serve.
10/11
If, as a civilian, you find yourself facing off against Mr. YOU-HAVE-2-LIKE-ME-BECUZ-IM-A-VET

Remember that you don't

You don't have to grant respect based on service, but you should respect the service itself.
11/11
