One good thing that came out (although I would have preferred a better way) from this coup is that people now understand their right to freedom of expression and assembly. Most importantly, understand why students and ethnic groups constantly have to protest against injustice.
How much it hurts when other people don’t stand up against injustice. How annoying it is when people choose silence over injustice which is what NLD did against ethnic groups including the Rohingyas.
And please I’m sick of hearing Daw ASSK never having the power. Well you see now, do we have power against the armed people? We don’t, but we still show up and speak up for ourselves. And how awful it is that we are being arrested for speaking out, for exercising our right.
NLD arrested students and activists for speaking out against the armed conflict and human rights violations against the communities. And they faced jail time for doing so. We can all take something away from this.
