Got up shortly after 5am this morning to go up Arthur’s Seat in time for sunrise. Oh and was it worth it. [Thread]
But it all started much further down, of course.
Already getting really light — a good thing given the snowy path.
View of Portobello.
Nearly there.
The Pentlands covered in snow.
Sunshine on Leith (and Fife).
Edinburgh Castle and the city centre in a sunrise pink hue.
Rays of light.
Serene beauty on the way back down.
Winter wonderland — but if you do go be careful: it is icy and esp at the top the path is very slippery. Wear proper boots ...
.... and wrap up!
Forgot to share this photo of my new friend ... who already lived up there, enjoying the view.
