"Toolkit for Hindus"

It's late. And I have been thinking. To whoever is reading this, bear with me.

1.Emmanuel Macron's speech from October makes much more sense now. "We need to counter radical islam in our country asap. Islam is a religion that is in crisis all over the world today, we are not just seeing this in our country".

A lot of Indians feel the same way today.
2. Start going to a local RSS Shakha once in a while. Meet your local Swayamsevaks and create a network of good people who help you in need along with giving your mind some much needed stimulation. I do not see a single downside of going to a shakha.
3. Learn basic self defence. If possible take classes. Regardless of gender, send the kids in your family for such classes from a young age.
4. Donate to your local temples and religious organisations. Their loudspeakers keep you safe. Let them play Maata ke geet once in a while. Be united and know your neighbours. CAA anti-Hindu riots in Delhi should be taken as an example.
5. Read about your past and your scriptures. Counter all false propaganda vociferously but intelligently. Be open to debates and discussions. Understand the basics of Sanatan Dharma.
6. Celebrate festivals with fervor, without worrying about being labeled ‘Hindu’. Express your Hindu identity with pride – whether it is wearing Bharatiya attire, or putting teeka, bindi, bangles and other cultural symbols. You are doing this to respect your Dharma.
7.Don’t change who you are. Be respectful. Be humane. Don’t judge a person based on his religion or religious practices. In short, be a good Hindu. But know when you need to stand up for yourself! Learn and read about Shivaji, Maharana Pratap, Rana Hamir and your national heroes.
8. Use your vote wisely. Understand the difference between people who call terrorists martyrs and people who visit slain soldiers and policemen. And most importantly, do not vote for freebies. Delhi is suffering, it won’t be long before you suffer too.
