Time for federal and state politicians, bureaucrats, and appointees to be held accountable for the past year’s COVID-19 response. Let’s start with a list of questions- please add yours.
1. We shut down to “flatten the curve, and prepare”- How many staffed beds were actually added?
2. We closed schools- how many school aged children died from COVID and how many died from collateral damage of not being in school-suicide,domestic abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, and so forth? We want actual numbers from CDC and states, school districts.
3. What are the long term consequences of children not being in school for their lives snd our community? We want actual test results for basics reading, writing, and math skills at all grade levels comparing 2020 to prior years from district to state and national levels.
What are mental health and social development impacts on school aged children being out of the classroom? And specifically address effects of masking, physical separation, and remote learning on cases, hospitalizations, death from COVID v. Collateral damage.
What are physical and social impacts of cancelling sports, athletics, music, theater, basic PE?
Specifically address has this affected children from different socioeconomic s conditions? Did public policy make preexisting disparities worse disproportionately?
Look at overall CDC numbers for past year in intricate detail. What is actual excess death for each state and the country as a whole? Break out actual Death From COVID from all other causes of death. Look at suicide, abuse, overdose, murder, dementia, cancer...
We must look at numbers for years to come to assess long term effects of these policies. Will ther be more deaths from delayed cancer diagnosis, more flu deaths in coming years, more obesity related death and disease?...
Prove measures work and do not harm before arbitrarily decreeing and implementing them. We need actual numbers and science. City, county, state, national numbers. Full transparency and accountability. Include in depth economic impact and disparities.
