There seems to be a prevailing narrative from non-Black people that Black women are not....women. Where did this come from? #asktwitter
"Women and minorities" is a phrase that fundamentally ignores intersectionality and also allows erasure of Black and brown women to happen as well.
A better phrase would be *white* women and minorities, but that hasn't been introduced into the lexicon because the womanhood of white woman is never in question.
Exhibit A: Below is a bibliography featuring research about women in economics from women economists.

None of the researchers are Black women and none of the research includes Black women, but that doesn't make sense because there is research about BW. https://twitter.com/AEACSWEP/status/1359935965507297292?s=20
Denying the womanhood of Black women is dehumanizing. Ain't I a woman? I am. I am Black and I am a woman.

Those two things are not divorced and non-Black people forcing those these identities be mutually exclusive is harmful.
