A year or two ago the idea of "blocking is weak" was popular & I have changed many people's minds on it.

It was always pushed by people who like to harass others with carte blanche.

Blocking is a must. Blocking is self care. Blocking is respecting your followers. https://twitter.com/AdvThinking/status/1360178442210324481
The average person on Twitter plays the game of "dunking" on others & arguing over everything.

You only have to block a couple trouble makers to have a completely different Twitter experience.
The two main ideas for blocking which changes people's minds:

- 100% of the time the person talking shit would NOT behave the same face to face
- All you need is one person to have a crush on you to get doxxed, fired, banned, etc. block early & don't let them get a crush
Also, hide all stupid replies to your tweets.

When the "hide replies" function came out, I thought it would be used to censor people.

99% of the time I read hidden replies they were stupid bait or misunderstandings that deserved to be hidden.
Your followers follow you for a good reason. Keep a tight grip on your platform & do not let idiots run free on what you created just because they want a bit of attention.

Your followers will appreciate it.
Twitter changes once you start blocking. We all naively join thinking we come here to discuss & debate ideas with people.

Truth is most people are not worth debating or discussing with.

Block button best button. https://twitter.com/thnkslprpt/status/1360181616451203072
When I had a couple hundred followers I didn't understand how come big accounts blocked easily.

I understood once I had a couple thousand followers.

The average person is stupid as shit, dumb as hell & with a reading comprehension down the drain.
If you make money on Twitter: block

If you are networking: block

If you are learning: block

If you are doing business: block

If you respect yourself: block

If they wouldn't be saying the same shit to your face: block

If you wanna avoid nonsense: block
To close, if you tweet moderately & "don't need to block", there are two possible reasons:

- You love to argue online
- You don't write anything interesting

Food for thought.
