I got asked yesterday what change I would make to W5.
Previously, I've been a huge proponent of young vs old, to make Garou more like vampires, but we've seen how extreme conditions make people turn extremists, and Garou are *obviously* prone to such thinking:

I would probably split the Garou Nation into three camps on their perception of how to combat the environmental destruction, and humanity. There would be extremists, or moderates, or even semi-aligned, in these camps, but it would shape their "solution" to the problem:
One camp would work tirelessly to infiltrate humanity, to work the Stock markets, infiltrate company boards and hack/undermine major corporations much in the spirit of Glass Walkers; Embrace technology and human methods to combat them.
Another would instead argue that it all needs to be burnt to the ground. Whether that is the system, or all of humanity, is hotly debated in this camp, but the main idea is that there's no way to fix the world, it needs to be reborn. Hardcore ecofascism, possibly even.
Third camp would instead seek to mend relationships, especially with the other Fera, and seek to restore balance despite humanity. Whether foolish or not, this camp would argue that humanity was made by Gaia, despite everything, and simply needs to find its balance again.
Possibilities of having old Tribes and even the Garou Nation being a thing for sure, but an aged concept that's withering away. I look at our younger people today and I wonder how you'd talk them into accepting something like "Your great grand-mother was a Get of Fenris, ergo..."
Overall I feel the Garou need a more tangible internal struggle. Earlier editions I feel struggled with making the Garou vs Garou narrative make sense. I approve of pettiness and short-sightedness being an issue, but that shouldn't be an excuse for lack of structure.
And having three different camps embrace one aspect each of the Triat, works for me, as we are seeing human reactions to these sort of things split into similar patterns as well. I dunno, it'd be neat.

Addendum: Involve the other Fera more. It worked in the edgy 90s that everyone was almost dead but still hated each other, but for crying out loud it's the 2020s let's get together to fix things.
Hope needs to be a central theme to this game in particular, as well.
