I just found out about this. I hate that tech is racist af and doesn’t seem to give shit. Is there any Oximeter that works on dark skin at all?

This is a real question. Has anyone found an oximeter that works on dark skin? Preferably one that private people can get, not a hospital version for $2000 (if that even works)
My friend is a Cancer Pathology Professor who just put one of these in the mail for me when he heard that I have to go to work before I can get vaccinated. Says he and all of his colleagues carry them and then he sent me a link to this, which I slept on: https://www.pbs.org/wnet/amanpour-and-company/video/why-covid-19-patients-should-be-going-to-hospitals-sooner/
So no, I don’t really care what you all think of Oximeters, I’m going to listen to the dude who is a professor doctor doctor. But what pisses me off is that I share this with friends and then half of them tell me “yeah, they don’t work on us...because racism”. Shame.
