You were not saved by any man, but by the Holy Spirit working through a sinner. Regardless of his wickedness, the Spirit who called you is Holy. Cling to God. Do not fear. He is faithful.
The same man who taught me the Bible and prayed with me on his knee before I could read, violently and sexually abused me for over 20 years. Our saviors are not the people who tell us the good news. Our Savior is the Good News Himself, the Word of God, Jesus Christ.
No matter how dark this world gets, no matter how evil and deceptive people may be, our God is Holy. His truth remains truth no matter how many liars quote it. His love remains faithful no matter how many predators claim to know it.
