Here’s one reason why BLM and woke folks (translation: mean niqqas) are not responding well to your liberal outcry: Being Black in the USA is pretty fucking hard. It’s time consuming and energy draining to navigate antiblackness, so pardon us if we don’t do your work for you. https://twitter.com/laurahuangla/status/1359890869726236676
You can’t be a white adjacent gentrifying yuppie ignoring fascism 364 days of the year and then make Johnny come lately demands for solidarity from BIPOC folks who been in these Nazi-fighting trenches. That’s not how you build BIPOC solidarity.
Also, how engaged are you with the Asian communities experiencing fascist violence. Somehow I find it hard to believe that a Harvard professor like you is in deep relationship to Boston’s working class Asian communities. Of course I could be wrong, but I usually ain’t.
Most of the clowns screaming the loudest about “giving Asians a voice” have zero background in antifascist organizing or Asian community work. Asian and Black comrades have been building together for nearly a century, but you bourgeois assholes know nothing about that history.
Also, Asian communities don’t need white and white adjacent saviors to give them a voice. They got voices and they’ve been raising holy hell to power with them since the first Chinese and Korean migrant workers arrived. If you don’t know about this work, do some basic reading.
