You need to be top 100 to make a living from tennis, & need to invest thousands out of your own pocket to go close. I was an above average player. I trained 3/4 times a week as a teenager. Played national level tournaments around the country. Had a few runs to quarter finals. Won some doubles tournaments, some decent wins (Kyrgios). My highest rank was 700 in Aus. Won maybe $400 prize money
