Without a doubt the S&C Coach has an impact on the W/L... but to say it's a direct reflection of W/L isn't true. The stat line may look great when that team wins... but what if that great S&C coach is on a losing team? Much harder to prove your worth now huh? (2/7)
Rather... a white-box approach should be used. When using a white-box approach people need to realize that S&C =/= W/L. In fact... the equation is much more complex... HC+OC+DC+Positional Coaches+Talent+Age+Injuries+Sleep+Nutrition+S&C+

This is why we (S&C / Sports Scientists) should always be monitoring our athletes and gathering objective data. That way if working with a team w/ a losing record wants to blame you, you have objective data that proves that you did YOUR job! YOUR part of the equation was... (4/7)
...accounted for. It would be great to see some stat lines for S&C Coaches read as such: helped field a 95% starting rate over 3 years alongside ATC, helped develop a specific injury RTP, on a professional soft tissue committee, didn't give multiple athletes rhabdo, ... (5/7)
