Really appreciate Anthony Head making it very clear that just because he didn't personally witness any abuse on the Buffy set that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
He talks about feeling awful because he would've used his power to protect them if he'd known, and/but that's the point: abusers are very careful about when and where they "snap" so that no one powerful is there to witness and stop them. It's not an impulse control problem.
What I would say in comfort to someone having that crisis is that presumably the abuser in question knew or guessed that they would try to stop him, and therefore was very careful to make sure they didn't have the opportunity to do so.
And/But this is a good reason why established actors should get to know the smaller actors on set and make sure they know they can come to you with questions and concerns, and that you'll have their back.
