The main beneficiary though wasnât the Nationalists, it was Labour
Nationalism subsided again until devolution arrived. Labour wanted to cement their stranglehold of Scottish politics.

Unfortunately all they did, as Tam Dalyell predicted, was hasten their own demise
The hatred that the Labour movement had, and continues to have, for Tories was simply coopted by the Nationalists

This is only going to happen, in my opinion, in two ways
Either an interviewer/journalist manages to hammer away at the SNP (Iâve seen scant evidence of any journalists that have the financial knowledge to do this) or the opposition politicians

We can never out nationalist the Nationalists so thereâs no point in trying
