Globally, it was the biggest day we've had for the tracker that didn't coincide with an update from China (China's updates are infrequent—and large). We did get a bump from Russia, but that's not what pushed up our rolling average 2/ https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-vaccine-tracker-global-distribution/
Canada's numbers continue to improve after the country essentially ran out of vaccine. We're also seeing increased uptake of vaccines from China in Russia around the world in places like Chile (China's Sinovac) 3/
The global map continues to fill in, with data for 76 countries. Today we added Iran and a kickoff in Bangladesh. South America is accelerating. The biggest setback so far has been uncertainty around AstraZeneca—which was the cornerstone of so many national plans 4/
For as much as people complain about problems with the U.S. vaccine rollout—and there are many—the population is still getting vaccinated faster than all but a handful of countries. And that's likely to continue https://twitter.com/ArmstrongDrew/status/1359998815193939968
