Fort Worth crash presser:

-6 fatalities
-65 people being treated
-Scene is over at least a half of mile area.
-Multiple people were trapped within their vehicles, equipment needed to be used to release
-More than 100 vehicles involved
MedStar:

-36 patients were transported from the scene.
-13 ambulances were on the scene
-Numerous people were treated & released on scene.
-65 patients in total sought medical care on their own, number will likely increase
Police Chief Noakes:

-Scene today "was one we pray to God we never see again"
-Ofc on scene by 6:15
-More than 80 police units on scene
-Noakes went to scene
-Collaboration between PD, FD, Medstar, wrecker, etc was very good
-Thanks health care workers
Noakes:

-About 133 cars involved, number could grow
-Ice was a factor in the crash
-4 FWPD officers injured, three while en route to work, 1 while working scene. All released from hospital
Q: Was the roadway treated prior to this morning?

Noakes: That is going to be part of the ongoing investigation.
Q: Are road cameras being looked at?

Noakes: If anyone has videos they think would be helpful, please contact FWPD to share
Q: Who is still in the hospital?

MedStar: Yes, patients still in hospital. 3 victims were declared in critical condition on scene.
Q: How many children involved today?

MedStar: All victims assessed on scene were adults. Lots of people commuting to work. Some people involved in the crash were health care workers coming off their shift.
Q: What's being done to make sure this doesn't happen again?

Mayor Price: Sanding city streets will continue, monitoring situation. Agency involved in Texpress was invited to press conference, unknown what their response was (they're not present)
