Conversion therapy has recently been banned in two states in Australia (it happened just last week in Victoria), but it’s still legal in the majority of Australia. Follow @EqualityAu & @SOGICEsurvivors on what you can do as debate happens in each state #AWorldWhereLivingWorks
Mental health funding & programs for schools is also hotly debated. Safe Schools is a perfect example of this. Engage with your local school to find out what programs and plans they have in place. Tell your local MPs how funding should be spent #AWorldWhereLivingWorks
Organisations such as @batyr and @projectrockit do a fantastic job at engaging with young people in this space. With such a packed (and continually changing) health curriculum, their work has never been so important #AWorldWhereLivingWorks
Data is absolutely key. Orgs like @LGBTIQHealthAu & @intersexaus have been leading efforts to make sure the right questions are being asked. It helps inform policy, which plays a key role in prevention. Everyone needs to be included to make data authentic #AWorldWhereLivingWorks
It’s not hard to be inclusive. And it’ll often make a bigger difference than you realised. The number of people looking for one safe space is huge. Not many, one. We can all play our part in making that happen #AWorldWhereLivingWorks
