I think if you ask any villa fan what their expectations were, I can't think of anyone realistically saying we'd be where we are.

What's been Villa's success? A number of factors in my view:
1. The backing of NSWE is huge, yes we need to spend big season but we have recruited well and built on what needed.
2. Johan Lange input has been nothing short of a masterstroke. Great appointment.

4. Jack on a long term deal, yes, bigger clubs my come in for him but I truly feel he wants to succeed at Villa fan knows Dean and the board are building something special

5. New recruits fitted in pretty much straight away. Martz has been purchase of the season, Cash has brought a exciting RB approach we have missed since Gary Charles, Ollie keeps banging them in.
Should we be excited? Yes we should, more than ever, you feel NSWE are building something we have yearned for since Lerner. Owners who care and want this club to succeed
