I have received so many messages from saying how amazing it is to see how much love & care I have for all the animals around me. And it means so much, thank you. I am so, so glad that you can feel that love and care through the screens on your phone, it’s what I always hope for.

However I just wanted to highlight one thing, because I also see a lot of ‘it’s so nice to see a farmer who cares so much’. Please please hear me out.....I am not rare when it comes to this.

In fact I am just one farmer in a huge majority of farmers that pour everything they have into caring for their livestock. There are soooo many amazing farmers doing exactly what I’m doing - always putting their animals above themselves.

Believe me because I’ve worked on lots of farms over the yrs through my contract shepherding. I’ve seen farmers in pieces after losing an animal they are fought tirelessly to try and save. Ive watched the sparkle of pride in their eye as they show off their flock to other farmers

I’ve seen farmers on the edge when they’ve given so much to their animals they have forgetten about the importance of looking after themselves.

I stand sooo proud, shoulder to shoulder with the farmers in the UK, knowing that we uphold the highest welfare standards in the world, that we adore our animals and that we would do anything for them.

I’m not a rare breed, I am one of thousands and thousands xxxx
