This isn't a photo from a war zone, it's from a "training zone." This IDF artillery corps self-propelled howitzer drove through the Palestinian village of Jinba not DESPITE the presence of villagers but BECAUSE of the presence of villagers.
Former PM Ariel Sharon said so explicitly in 1981: "Additional training areas must be closed in [between] the bottom of the Hebron Hills and the Judean Desert—in light of the phenomenon—the spread of Arab villagers on the mountainside toward the desert." https://twitter.com/BtSIsrael/status/1318104494442512386
The exercise caused extensive damage to the property and agriculture in the villages in the area designated a firing zone and traumatized the residents. https://twitter.com/BtSIsrael/status/1356933565922086918
As this happened the settlers' Hebron Hills Regional Council celebrated: "It's one of the ways to enhance [our] governance and our grip on the open space, and to enforce law and order." https://twitter.com/BtSIsrael/status/1356629578584891392
Perhaps the @JNFUSA can help fund the settlers "enhance their grasp" in the firing zone once the villagers flee or are evicted
Save this photo for next time someone mentions the incitement in Palestinian textbooks. Ask yourself how you'd feel about Israel if you lived here.
