Unpopular opinion: The Facebook Oversight Board is not that interesting.
The Oversight Board is not a Supreme Court. They’re not making or interpreting law. Facebook is not a government.
The FB Oversight Board is an interesting experiment in corporate governance and an interesting theoretical model for content moderation. That’s more than enough for us all to chew on for years. We don’t need to imbue the concept with the force of law or the power of nations.
Yes, we should continue studying/discussing/writing on this topic. (And plenty of great scholars and activists are!)

But let’s keep in mind what we’re discussing is not literally a Supreme Court with the force of law. No need to exaggerate the issues.
