wish the discussion on "cancel culture" and whether it exists or not and whether its Good or Bad wasn't so black and white and people had more nuanced takes on things
dont get me wrong there is absolutely Nothing wrong with the gina carano situation people like her deserve to be deplatformed and not be on one of the biggest shows in the world but it's not uncommon to see things like creators from marginalized groups harassed for-
making things that aren't Palatable for everyone or too Stereotypical

theres a difference between a wealthy actor being taken off a show for her terrifying bigoted opinions and like, a queer content creator getting ran off the internet for liking sephcloud or melia/tyrea or w/e
or that mess a while ago when black/brown artists were black/brownwashing characters and they got screamed at for giving them """stereotypical""" traits like. what the fuck was that
people are too eager to justify being dweebs and having the Moral Authority to throw people away because they don't like their content so in that sense ig cancel culture Exists and is Bad but it is far far far more nuanced than that. two things can be true at once
