i've got opinions on this, so let's chat

the discussion of whether you can see something in a chart is very different from whether you should. for example, if someone wants to run for public office but has mars ruling the 12H in the 10H, that's very helpful to know https://twitter.com/caztrology/status/1359858525980229632
but sexuality (and gender similarly) are extremely personal, complex, and culturally contextual. similar feelings may be labeled differently by two people. and personal circumstances deeply color how someone experiences their sexuality
so it's hard to give a definitive answer on this topic from the outside, through any lens

but my bigger issue is this: questioning your sexuality or gender is a strange and confusing process. i know i spent a lot of time looking for definite answers outside myself
i convinced myself i was lying and didn't actually like girls because my ring finger is much shorter than my index finger. i would sit at my computer taking kinsey scale quizzes just to get some kind of clarity
if there is somehow a universal signature, all i see is questioning people poring over their charts to find it. i can see kids like me lacking that signature and using it as a way to deny their very real feelings. i can see kids in homophobic homes panicking if they do have it
point being, the potential for harm seems far greater than the potential for good. this isn't to say there may not be patterns (i've noticed a few), but casual observation after someone has come out is very different than trying to create a universal rule
i think many people can locate their sexuality and gender experiences in their own charts, but those signatures are all unique to those people. and i also don't think this means astrology must be separate from sexuality. there are just more interesting questions
are there certain transits or activations that often coincide with people coming out? what about name changes? starting hormones? the first kiss that made you go "oh"?

what about the synastry for Those strange entangled friendships? or for elders and mentors?
