Here's why I lean positive on Stadia and why I actively avoid or discourage the negativity.
I don't think anybody benefits from it. Bashing Google for their decisions, pre-mourning the supposed impending death of the platform, hating on the people who still support Stadia, /1

calling us shills or saying we're defending a billion dollar company and why bother, none of that keeps the lights on at Stadia HQ. Not one ire-filled tweet from us YouTubers and gamers is going to cause Alphabet to keep or fire Phil Harrison, to keep or shut down the platform /2
or any of the like.
You calling me a blind devotee doesn't make me suddenly wake up and hate Stadia. Because I don't.
And you calling it cringy that I'm standing up for the platform I enjoy is no different than you championing your fandom, your sports team, or your hobby. /3

Does Stadia have problems? Sure. Every platform does. But my life doesn't improve by focusing on them. And my focus on them doesn't fix them. I don't work for Alphabet and they don't care what I think. Or what you think. I'm sorry to be so blunt but it's true. /4
So here's the choice we all have to make every day we stick around this platform.
1. Play the games. Enjoy it while it's here, whether that's the rest of the year or the rest of our lives. Make content, make friends, make the most of it. This is the path that I choose. /5

Or 2. Moan and groan about every misstep and mistake. Buy the wreath and prep the headstone. Join the chorus of people who will shout "I told you so!" if it eventually ends.
If that's your choice, I'd love to hear how that makes your world a better place to be. As for me, /6

I'm going to keep being relentlessly positive. I'm going to keep moving past the mistakes this billion dollar company makes hundreds of miles away from me because they don't matter. They don't change my paycheck, my marriage, my daily life. I'm going to play the games. /7
I'm going to host a podcast. I'm going to write some articles. I'm going to digitally hang out with my friends. And I'm going to champion Stadia. Because none of this matters in the end. Why add negativity into your psyche when you literally don't have to? /8
If that's your choice, that's your choice. I don't control you. But I won't support you if you choose to wallow in despair over a video game platform. Unfollow me, mute me, block me, whatever. It's not going to cause me any harm to have one less negative person in my world.
