-Getting rich is not just luck. Building wealth and staying happy are skills that can be learned.
-Seek wealth, not money or status. Wealth is something which makes money for you when you are sleeping. We often overlook the meanings and think they all are same but they are not.
-Exchange of time for money is not being wealthy. So in monetary terms, there could be some people who are rich but if they don't have the freedom to spend on what you love to do and cant make money while they sleep i.e. passive income, they are not truly wealthy.
-In order to be financially free, you need to own a peace of the business, you need to own equity. This is the route to financial freedom. When you have ownership, you have the leverage of other people's time, assets etc so there will be no ceiling to your earning potential.
-Becoming a perpetual learner is the key i.e. devote to life time learning. Naval suggests to focus more on Science, psychology etc
-Many books just make a single point, then illustrate it time and time again. So once the point is clear, you are not in an obligation to complete it.
-Don't read books just because everyone is talking about certain book, read only when you are passionate about a subject.
-Coding,writing books, youtube, podcast etc are permission less. You don't need anybody's permission to do them. There are no limits,so decide and do it.
-To become rich, you have exchange awful amount of time for the wealth, you become an anxiety driven person and so you feel compulsion to treat yourself with expensive cars, tours etc. All these are trappings of wealth and becomes perpetual cycle and its difficult to move out of it.
-Happiness comes from within,it is not external. If you are someone who always waits for some event or incident before starting up,you are bound to get very disappointed. If you buy experiences, they can add value but material possessions won't add happiness after you get those.
-Real winners are those who step out of the game, who don't even play the game. That's deep. They have reached a level of self control and self awareness that they don't really wait to show off to get public validation. They rise above all these pity things and need no aprovals.
-Survival and replication drive put us on the work treadmill.Hedonic adaptation keeps us there. The trick is knowing when to jump off and play instead.
-The enemy of peace of mind is expectations drilled into you by society and other people.
