1. NOT a literal mark, but a seal of loyalty to the Beast. Just like Saints are “sealed” by the Holy Spirit in loyalty to GOD.

Consider Moses’ figurative use of the hand & forehead.
Exodus 13: 9
“This annual festival will be a visible sign to you, like a mark branded on your hand or your forehead. Let it remind you always to recite this teaching of the LORD...”

The Dictionary of Biblical Imagery states, “The two dozen references to foreheads in the Bible fall into three main clusters. The most numerous are references to the forehead as a place where one wears an IDENTIFYING MARK, either literal or figurative.”
So the Mark of the Beast is more about IDENTITY than it is about a literal mark.

In Deuteronomy 11:18 Moses used the same figurative language of the hands & forehead to urge Israel to remember & do what he said.
He told them, “So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your HANDS and wear them on your FOREHEAD as reminders.”

Jeremiah 3:3 uses the image of "a whore’s forehead" to picture someone who refuses to be ashamed.
So again! The mark of the beast on the hands & forehead is not a microchip, barcode, vaccine, tattoo or any other physical Mark.
The reference is to an IDENTIFYING MINDSET.

In Ezekiel 9:4 we are given insight into a spiritual operation. Check out the language.
“He said to him, ‘Walk through the streets of Jerusalem and PUT A MARK ON THE FOREHEADS of all who weep & sigh because of the detestable sins being committed in their city.”

This mark in Ezekiel 9:4 was put on the foreheads of those who were grieved with the sins of the land.

The people who for the mark didn’t know they were mark. The mark was for the destroying angel so he could know who to spare & who to kill.

In understanding the symbolism of the Mark of the Beast, remember it’s first an IDENTIFYING MINDSET before anything else.
For all we know, it could be a mindset that makes you wear a RED CAP which comes down over your FOREHEAD with the words “Make America Great Again!”
