//THREAD We are delighted to say that the number of people in Grampian who have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine has now passed 100,000. There are a lot of people deserving of thanks and we're going to use this thread to do so & share pics
• ALL our vaccinators, working in clinics in Aberdeenshire, Moray, & Aberdeen City, and ALL the support staff working alongside them,
• Our pharmacy colleagues, for their expert advice and support,
• Community nurses, who’ve worked through really tough conditions this week.
• GPs and their teams for their work on vaccinating our over 80 population and their ongoing support,
• Our colleagues in @HSCAberdeen, @HSCPshire & @HSCMoray
• All the teams working behind the scenes in HR, payroll, rostering, Practice Education, admin, contact centres, and logistics, who have helped get the programme up and running,
• The team at P&J Live at TECA for their work on the mass vaccination centre
• All venue support staff/volunteers at our clinics who give every person coming to be vaccinated a warm welcome,
• Our Armed Forces colleagues for their additional support,
• Our @AberdeenCC @Aberdeenshire & @TheMorayCouncil colleagues, working hard to clear the roads.
• The team at THInC – and all the transport providers – who have helped get people to appointments.
• And last, but not least, all of you, who have shown great willingness to roll up their sleeve and get vaccinated.
There is still lots of hard work ahead. It’s our sincere hope that we can keep this performance going, but this is based on vaccine supply, recruitment of staff, and public support. Supply and staffing are things we will monitor; you can help us by rolling up your sleeve. ENDS//
