Mistakes are a learning opportunities for you and for your children.

When your children make mistakes, try ASKING them what they can/should do.

“Uh oh. What do you think you should do about that Paris”

“Whoops, what do we do when water is spilled?”

Teach them to problem solve, not internalize shame, from mistakes
If it’s up, it ain’t gotta be stuck (lol.). Help your child figure out how to get it down.
Don’t yell at them, don’t guilt trip them, and don’t get it down for them (unless they are of a certain age where it is dangerous and then explain that).

How are any of those methods benefiting or teaching the child long term?
Tone is important! I get roasted pretty regularly because I talk to my children like I’m Tasha Poppins.
However asking, “What do you need to do about that, Paris?” in a positive, uplifting tone is completely different from asking the same question in a exasperated, critical tone
