For #WomenInScienceDay here are some of the amazing women I've worked with over the years.
First up, Dr Ruth Purvis (not on twitter), new head of equality diversity and inclusion at @AtmosScience https://ncas.ac.uk/equality-diversity-and-inclusion-sessions-introduced-to-atmospheric-science-courses/

Dr Freya Squires @FreyaSquires awesome PhD student and now instrument scientist at @BAS_News
Great paper from her work in Beijing https://acp.copernicus.org/articles/20/8737/2020/acp-20-8737-2020-discussion.html

For her never ending commitment to a fairer working environment or everyone Dr Leonie Jones @leoniecjones
Dr Rachel Dunmore @rachel_dunmore has worked with me for almost ten years as a PhD student and then post doc. So sad that you are leaving us! Many fun times on fieldwork and her work showed the importance of diesel hydrocarbon emission in London. https://acp.copernicus.org/articles/15/9983/2015/
Dr Kelly Pereira (not on twitter), the second PhD student I supervised and recently left @AtmosChemYork to run a research lab in industry. Mass spectrometry expert, with a strong commitment to complex mixture analysis. https://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acs.est.5b03377
My colleague Prof Kirsty Penkmann @NEaar_lab expert in analytical and environmental geochemistry. Her research has lead to ground breaking advances in geochronology. We worked together on a paper looking at emissions from egg shells. https://elifesciences.org/articles/17092
Dr Naomi Farren @njfarren currently studies emissions from vehicles and previously used @AtmosChemYork GCXGC-NCD to study nitrosamines in particles. This brilliant article shows that ammonia emissions from road transport are underestimated in the UK https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.est.0c05839
Prof Lucy Carpenter, expert in ocean atmosphere interactions, FRS, Rosalind Franklin and Tilden award winner, PI of the Cape Verde atmospheric observatory. https://amof.ac.uk/observatory/cape-verde-atmospheric-observatory-cvao/
Next, Dr Sri Hapsari Budisulistiorini @sarihapsari expert in atmospheric aerosol science. Currently designing our aerosol flow reactor and new techniques to link sources and composition. Cool paper on the effects of anthropogenic emission on isopreen SOA
https://acp.copernicus.org/articles/15/8871/2015/

Another ocean-atmosphere expert @LiselotteTinel focusing on the sea surface microlayer on oceanic iodine emissions. She has recently left York to set up her own group at IMT in France. https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.est.0c02736
Dr Katie Read is responsible for the management of the Cape Verde Atmospheric Obserbatory and works for @AtmosScience she also coordinates activity within the COZI-Lab housed at @AtmosChemYork https://amof.ac.uk/laboratory/carbon-monoxide-and-ozone-calibration-laboratory-cozi/
Dr Shalini Punjabi is a research technician at York, with expertise in gas chromatography for atmospheric chemistry. Who knows how many chromatograms she has integrated!! Works on the Cape Verde data.
Dr Rosie Chance @dr_rosiechance (I think this is the one!) Part time atmospheric chemistry part time horticulturist. She is an expert in biogeochemical processes. This cool paper looks at ice nucleation ability of water soluble organics in the arctic https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.est.7b04072
There have been many other amazing women at @AtmosChemYork over the last 17 years! And these only those I've worked directly with @ChemistryatYork there are many more from around the world and thanks to you all for help!
Ps I'm sorry if I've butchered your area of expertise!

Not to forget, @DrSazzle jointly funded by a @NERCscience Knowledge Exchange Fellowship and by Defra. She is working to increase the impact of air quality science through liaison between the atmospheric science research community, NERC, and Defra. PI of @STFC_AQN
And Dr Charlotte Jones, Head of national air quality science for the Defra / DfT Joint Air Quality Unit. She won a JSPS fellowship and worked at Tokyo metropolitan University. This fantastic paper shows biogenic voc measurements in the rainforest in Borneo
