With Valentines day approaching, please be mindful that scammers will use this as an opportunity.

Be careful if you are in the early stages of a relationship and the other person asks for money or bank details. Early escalation of your relationship may also be an indicator.

Also, be wary of sharing explicit images, this could lead to sextortion / blackmail.

Be cautious if the other person does not want to conduct a video call, has limited information on social media or there are large gaps in contacts.

Remember that if it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.

Don't get caught, be wary. These signs may be legitimate, and scammers may not portray all of them.
