As it's International Day of Women and Girls in Science, here are a few of our classroom favourites about female scientists. #WomenInScience

First up, the Ada Twist series by @andreabeaty and David Roberts is just fantastic for sparking an interest in practical science.
There are several books which tell the story of the team of female mathematicians who had a vital role in early NASA projects. We absolutely love this one by @margotshetterly and @LauraFreemanArt. #WomenInScience
Little People, Big Dreams is a superb series published by @QuartoKids. It features scientists, artists, musicians, politicians, sportspeople, etc. All beautifully written and illustrated. @sanchezvegara #FrauIsa #WomenInScience
A very recent addition to the amazing Fantastically Great Women series from @KateisDrawing. They're all definitely worth getting hold of and promoting in class. #WomenInScience
A personal favourite of mine from #JoyceSidman, the inspiring story of Maria Merian, a groundbreaking scientist, artist and naturalist from the 16th century. A genuinely stunning book. #WomenInScience
Wonderful collection of short biographies from @ignotofsky, featuring some amazing scientists. Always being read and discussed in class, we often share these together. #WomenInScience
Thanks to @RuddickRichard for reminding me about the fantastic Corpse Talk series from @DFB_storyhouse. Absolutely adored by my eldest daughter. #WomenInScience
