Little talk of the day; (A thread)
I don't trust too many people who say they're Mental Health Advocates.
Back when I was part of the mental health community, I met some AMAZING advocates, always making blogs on mental health problems, including those that weren't talked about.

They were absolutely fantastic. They were thoughtful, kind and people adored them.
But then I met some other advocates, who did nothing but spread hate, subtweet all day and be rude and nasty for no reason.
I don't stand for these people and never will. You are not an advocate.

An advocate is someone who is willing to talk about ALL conditions, and not the 'common' ones such as anxiety and depression.
An advocate is someone who doesn't judge people for certain symptoms.
An advocate is someone doesn't fake who they are, as some individuals have done.

I've had a few bad experiences with people claiming they're mental health advocates. They did more damage than anything else!
But, there is still a community of advocates out there who are wonderful and I'm proud of them

Anyone can call themselves an advocate, including in the physical disability section, but you HAVE to prove that you are.
