Meet @Fe_biologia ! She is studying pardalotes, parasites and the things that make them tick! She’s made some super cool discoveries - eg https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/theconversation.com/amp/scientists-devised-a-cheap-ingenious-trick-to-save-this-bird-from-a-blood-sucking-maggot-and-it-works-brilliantly-143900 2/n
This is @LRayner_ & she started with us by designing the National monitoring program for regent honeyeaters and now she’s working on her one true love, the superb #parrot! Meet @owensecology - Giselle is doing her PhD on swift #parrots, logging and sugar gliders! Her research is going to crack open knowledge of how deforestation affects the survival of swift parrots 💪🏽 4/n
Meet @CatMYoung ! She’s done lots of stuff on lots of birds and is a great mentor for all our students! Most recently she was in charge of our orange-bellied parrot work and she’s about to start on a new project on rufous scrub birds 5/n
Meet @tasbiophiliac ! She’s doing MSc on using detection dogs to help find rare masked owls! As well as having infinite tolerance for annoying dog behaviour she is leading the way in finding a new method for finding rare animals in horrible habitats 6/n
