My take on the whole @ginacarano situation.

I agree that her post was not ok. Although Conservatives are being actively discriminated against in the U.S., it is not fair to compare it to the propaganda tactics of NAZI Germany. (1/7)
What went down in Germany, even before Hitler rose to power, was vastly different from what is happening in the U.S. today. And it is to no surprise that many viewed her post as downplaying the Holocaust.

She clearly made a mistake. (2/7)
That being said, it is fair to say that all she wanted to point out is the unfair treatment of Conservatives in the U.S. today. I think it's a stretch to claim her intention was an antisemitic one. (3/7)
And it's very hypocritical that many of these claims of antisemitism are coming from the people who have spent the past few years calling Trump supporters NAZIs, calling Trump Hitler, and supporting antisemites like Ilhan Omar. (4/7)
Again, she made a mistake, but I don't think her intention was to downplay what happened to Jews in NAZI Germany. To fire Gina Carano over this post without even giving her the chance to apologize or explain herself just goes to show how hypocritical & political LF is. (5/7)
It goes to show that they were just waiting for her to make a 'bad-enough' mistake so they can fire her. And by doing that they are making the point I think Gina Carano was trying to make.. that Conservatives are treated unfairly in today's United States. (6/7)
And at last I just wanted to point out that while Disney/LF has no problem firing people like Gina Carano, they go ahead and hire man-hating sexists like Lesley Headland and openly racist people like Krystina Arielle. (7/7)
