The pandemic has put a renewed focus on a working class that now has to risk getting sick on the job, while receiving little to no support. Millions of Americans are in desperate need of help right now, which is why it's great Joe Biden wants to raise the minimum wage to $15.

We haven't had a raise in the federal minimum wage in more than ten years, which is the longest period in history without an increase. America updates its Spider-Men more frequently than the minimum wage.
While some states ARE improving, the federal minimum wage itself has been stuck at $7.25 since 2009, and that isn't close to enough. Raising the minimum wage would help 10.5 million families who currently have to rely on safety net programs.
Despite intense Republican opposition, Biden's proposal isn't even radical. It would increase the minimum wage to $9.50 an hour in 2021 and then gradually to $15 an hour by 2025. Think of it as minimum wage foreplay––it'll take a while to build, but when it gets there, it's fine.
We shouldn't have to fight once a decade to pay people what they should've been making the previous decade. Regardless of what Republicans say, paying Americans fairly doesn't soften the economy. It strengthens it and makes it bigger. Like foreplay!
