Why are y’all constantly going “Tony knew his weapons were killing people he wasn’t stupid” it’s like...yeah. That’s the point. He thought he was doing a GOOD thing and everyone around him bolstered that opinion and then he found out no it’s a BAD thing
This is how I KNOW y’all have not seen a single Iron Man movie. O/c he knew he was killing people. His nickname was THE MERCHANT OF DEATH. He had a war industrialist father and an AF pilot best friend. Like many fuckjng people he was all gung ho ab the military
The ENTIRE POINT OF MCU IRON MAN’S ORIGIN is he decides supporting the military is no longer a good thing to do, bc weapons are a net wrong. That’s why he didn’t get captured by like, employees with a grudge or ransomers.
Rhodey’s rxn to Tony declaring an end to weapons production is to tell him to take a break and think about it, bc Rhodey thinks it’s a WRONG decision. This is what makes the namedrop in TWS so weird—Tony has cut ties with the military, he shouldn’t be creating anything for SHIELD
But y’all are used to mcu movies where there are no consequences and nothing matters so o/c a movie with actual tough decisions and broken world views being mended means nothing to you.

This is like the 18th thread I’ve made saying the exact same thing so idk why I keep saying it at all but whatever
