I get angry sometimes thinking about how people will ring the warning bell about a celebrity, almost WITHOUT EXCEPTION a marginalized person, and the fans will CRUSH THEM... and six months later, like clockwork, said celebrity reveals their entire ass and everyone's like "TRASH."

Carano, JKR, Pratt... every single one of them were called out on their shit, every one of them JUST GOT WORSE OVER TIME until the privileged people couldn't ignore them anymore.

But no one ever considers what happened to the /first/ people who spoke up.

I went HYPER viral over Pratt when he joined the "zap the queers" church a year or two ago. Like, 50k plus likes last time I checked, and the pile-on was out of this world by hot-for-Pratt white moms.

Now we got pics of him wearing right wing extremist symbols.

What a world we'd live in if, when faced with vulnerable people speaking their truths and how X person is harmful, we stop going BUT THEY'D NEVER and actually see the warning sign for what it is.

And this is, by a pretty wide margin, a white people problem in that there /is so little that can harm whiteness/ they just don't acknowledge the warning signs the way people of color have had to learn to for survival's sake. So they're bigger dicks about it.

Anyway, late night, hopped up on painkiller musings about the unfairness of being the Cassandra of our culture, watching Troy burning, and no one listening or believing you except for a tiny minority that understands the imminent dangers.
