Should Twitter follow Indian laws?

First, this is not a debate at all. When you don’t follow law of a sovereign state, instead take a high moral ground on Free speech, you are basically trying to convert it into unnecessary debate. This is gaslighting.

India is a sovereign state. It’s run by its own laws. When you start business in a country you have a contract to follow those laws.

If suddenly, you take a stand based on your moral handbook ignoring state’s laws you are breaching the contract.

That’s what Twitter has done. If Twitter suspended US president’s account permanently on alleged involvement in #CapitolHill riots, they should have same moral code for #RedFort riots. But NO. This is not hypocrisy. This is Digital imperialism. A kind of colonisation.

Please understand it’s not a battle between Modi vs Twitter. Nor is it between LW vs RW. It’s between sovereignty of India vs Digital Imperialism.

I think there should be open debate on this without ideological bias. Purely as Indians willing to protect its sovereignty.

End.
