i would stop by a place and go inside for like 30 minutes, then as i would get out the car would need to expend extra energy to reheat itself

then again at the next place and again and again

i probably did about 4 hours of actual driving but ultimately the car was still losing heat to the atmosphere when it was stopped as well even if the heater was off

and that energy had to be replenished

so ultimately it's as if i was running heat for 8 hours ...
8 hours of running heat plus 150 miles driven at up to 85 mph should push all but the best EVs ...

of course i wasn't in an EV ...

because i knew i would be doing this ...
i live between NYC and Philly - about 50-60 miles away from each ...

when i go to either one of them i like to go for the entire day and visit multiple places to get the best bang for the buck out of the trip ...

this would be a real test for most EVs in winter ...
on the other hand i probably do trips like this once a month but i do short trips of about 5-15 miles such as to the gym, grocery, pharmacy etc daily ...

PHEV does these short trips mostly in EV mode ...

and still easily handles the full days of driving like today too ...
if you can't understand the benefit of this well you're a fucking idiot and you're going to get blocked.

reality is EV fuckbois can't afford to understand the benefits of PHEVs any more than progressives can afford to understand relationship of Violent crime to Race and IQ.
reality is EVs shouldn't exist at all until everybody is driving a PHEV first ...

but because Elon said he was going to "skip" hybrids now EV fuckbois are obligated to talk shit about PHEVs as well as Fuel Cells and anything else not made by Elon ...
but i wanted to be fair and not just assume that they are dog shit ( which they are ) and give them every possible opportunity to present a sound logical argument against PHEVs ...

needless to say i just got more of the same nonsense ...

( cont )
nonsense like PHEVs are too expensive, too complex, too heavy etc ...

in fact i will grant you PHEVs often are heavier, more complex and more expensive than EVs ...

on the order of about 10% more for on average 3X the range and 100X the refueling speed ...
by comparison by putting a bigger battery in an EV cost and weight will go up twice as much but range will only go up half as much

yet the same EV fuckbois which talk shit about PHEV all clamor for EVs with bigger batteries

go figure huh ?
it's almost like they are just mindless shills for Elon's pump schemes ...

;)

either cynical pumpers or useful idiots or possibly both !
granted by putting an enormous battery in an EV you could have the side benefit of having over 1,000 hp

however in my entire day of driving i never found 400 hp from the PHEV inadequate

and it's just a 4 cylinder and only 12 KWH battery

which is really more inefficient ?
what's more inefficient - having a 100KWH battery just so that you can use it ONCE A MONTH or having a 12KWH battery that you use every day plus a 4-cylinder ICE that you need once a month ?

that ICE is 1/2 the price and weight of that additional battery capacity
yes the total power from the system is also half as well

which saves me even more money !

because without having excessive power i don't need to take my car to the race track and pay for track time and burned tires !

( cont )
my PHEV is happy right where it is - on the road

a 1,000+ hp car will never be happy on the public road at legal speeds
