Today the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee approved a bill to provide nearly $100B as part of President Biden’s American Rescue Plan. This funding will provide much-needed relief to communities devastated by #COVID19. 1/4
The legislation includes $50B for FEMA to improve #COVID19 vaccination efforts & assist in the ongoing response to the pandemic at the state level. 2/4
It includes $30 billion for public transit, including funds to support @PGHtransit & @BeaverCoTransit to ensure that essential frontline workers & first responders in our region can get to their jobs. 3/4
This package also includes $8 billion in emergency aid to airports, including funds to assist @PITairport in #PA17 to support workers & travelers. 4/4
