In middle school they were opposites in every aspect of the story. Let's start with their broken pride: Bakugo’s broken pride was dude to being saved vs Kiri’s broken pride was due to his inability to save
Kirishima was a bystander to an event that changed him vs Bakugo was the victim to the event that changed
Middle school Bakugo was introduced to us as a bully but middle school kiri was introduced as a protector (also light hair vs dark hair, good vs bad

Bakugo was introduced to be a cynic (yeah ik @dynatheories lip service thread was Amazing but he wasn't introduced to us as a lair) while Kirishima was introduced to be very idealistic

Bakugo was praised and uplifted by everyone, parents, teachers, pros. While Kiri was just seen as the average Joe
Events that happened in their last year of middle school triggered change in both of them.
Now let's move on to High School Bakugo and Kirishima where they are similar. In high school they both inspired their curly Hair friend that went to middle school with them
Only students to enter the highschool with their own goals and stick to it throughout (ura has like 3? And Iida looked up to his bro and it was a family business, Deku didn’t introduce his goal as a protagonist but he stated his accomplishment as a narrator “..the greatest hero”
Both Risk their lives to save the same person person from middle school who caused their pride to be broken in middle school (5chapters apart)
Loud confident dude with an inferiority complex that’s shown when he breaks down(Bakugo) vs loud insecure dude with an inferiority complex that’s shown when he breaks down (Kirishima) (also look how the breakdowns almost mirror each other)
hero names pay homage to the hero’s they look up to
Now to possible symbolism
They're parallel characters that were completely different before meeting each other, only circumstances caused them to be alike when they met. Mirror characters, Heaven and Earth. (earth mirrors heaven)
Bkg: Heaven: smart, wise, analytical, compassionate, emotional
Kiri: Earth : stable, expressive, hard, (most if the other qualities just describe a jock they're like “constant muscle building”) and kiri fits cause

The collision of the heaven and the earth will result in some form of togetherness, and it will erase the existence of “limbo”
