the ongoing conflict surrounding who has rights to this land date back to the 1854 and 1868 Fort Laramie treaties, which granted rights to the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, and now currently threatened by Dakota Access Pipelines and the Keystone KL (KXL) pipeline project before that

The courts have ruled #DAPL project illegal. And yet the pipeline continues, in blatant disregard of both natural and institutional laws. #WaterisLife and without access to clean water, there is no life. #ONEV1
