People who were all-in on the vaccine approach are going to be disappointed with these outcomes when lockdown never properly ends given their near messianic hopes for what 'the science' would bring to us
(of course, diminished expectations will lead them to get EXTREMELY excited about being allowed to visit a pub (table service only and rule of three) outside wearing three face masks for two weeks in July before another outbreak of a vaccine-busting mutation)
The only reasonable argument for lockdowns is that economic activity would be diminished equally or nearly equally from mass spread, but I don't think this holds over the long-term
